Start a MOST ClubWhat is the MOST Club?
The Men of Strength (MOST) Club is MCSR’s premier youth development and primary prevention program for mobilizing boys and young men to prevent sexual and dating violence and build cultures of respect and safety. MOST provides a supportive space for young men to examine traditional expectations of masculinity, develop their own definitions of healthy masculinity, and build healthier relationships. Through a 22-week curriculum, mentoring, peer leadership, and service-learning, MOST members turn learning into action as allies and leaders in their schools and communities.
In 2003, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention identified the MOST Club as among the top four gender-violence prevention programs in the country.
MOST Club Inside the club
Across middle schools, high schools, and college campuses, MOST Club chapters offer young men and boys the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be strong without being violent. Through MOST, participants have the opportunity to:
- Create safe, supportive spaces for male peer connection
- Challenge the traditional masculinity that contributes to violence
- Expose members to healthier models of masculinity
- Build capacity for peer leadership and allyship with women
- Serve as a hub for social-justice activism and nonviolence
- Mentor and role-model healthy masculinity through near-peer relationships
Strength in action
MOST members collaborate with WISE to lead member-created Community Strength Projects and shape signature programming, including the Counter Stories multimedia series, Solutions Through Film Festival, 30 Days of Strength campaign, and Young Professionals Week.
