About the coalition

Established in 2016 and operating under MCSR’s stewardship, the DC Coalition to End Sexual Violence (DCCESV) is Washington, DC’s federally designated state sexual-assault coalition. It is a community-informed collective of service providers and allied professionals working to strengthen the capacity of organizations and agencies to meet the needs of sexual-violence victim-survivors across the District.

The coalition envisions a District where all victim-survivors receive timely, competent, and high-quality care — grounded in anti-oppression and intersectional frameworks, trauma-informed practice, and both public-health and public-safety perspectives.
